According to a story from TMZ, John was murdered by a suspected drunk driver in Ohio in an accident that also left his wife and Steph’s mother, Kristine Pappas, hospitalized. Cookie, the family’s dog, was also killed in the event.

According to local authorities, both parents were hit by a car that was heading westbound and drifted into the Pappas’ vehicle in the adjacent lane. The driver sideswiped the Pappas’ automobile, causing them to collide.

“We teased my Father for being so positive – he was never unhappy about anything.” There was always a silver lining in every scenario. “It’s now my time,” he wrote.
“I adored my dad,” Nick added in his statement. I am very fortunate to have been raised by a man who epitomizes what a man should be. I’m grateful for every time I spent with him.
