Nicole McCloskey East Northport NY: Long Island teacher accused of sharing explicit photos of her daughter with boys to boost their “self-esteem” during her arraignment on privacy violation charges.
She was arraigned on 54 counts, including using a child in a sexual performance, promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child, and child pornography.

According to prosecutors, McCloskey, a special education teacher at Western Suffolk BOCES, allegedly utilized her daughter’s social media accounts and mobile device to disseminate the explicit content and interact with her fellow students.
Nicole McCloskey’s daughter reported the abuse to a school principal and a counselor on February 9 after learning that a sexually suggestive image of herself in a bikini was circulated among her peers.
The report came after her peers informed her about the image being circulated in her school, as per Assistant Suffolk County District Attorney Dana Castaldo.
She was accused of sending explicit photos of her 15-year-old daughter to male students to boost their “self-esteem” during arraignment on child pornography charges.

According to Assistant Suffolk County District Attorney Dana Castaldo, the alleged abuse spanned three years from the victim’s sixth grade. It involved physical assault if the victim disobeyed the accused’s directions.
During the proceedings, Castaldo alleged that McCloskey attempted to minimize the situation when her daughter confronted her about the explicit image being circulated in school, responding that it was not “nude.”

According to Castaldo’s statement to Collins, McCloskey reportedly confessed to taking the photo to boost the child’s self-esteem and receive positive feedback when approached by the Police on February 9.
Police found more sexually explicit images and videos on McCloskey and her daughter’s phones, including ones where McCloskey directed her daughter in explicit poses and nudity.
Castaldo reported that specific files obtained by the Police contained audio of McCloskey encouraging her daughter to engage in increasingly explicit behavior.

According to Castaldo, the videos were shared on Snapchat, a social media platform.
Prosecutors have claimed that investigators retrieved numerous sexually explicit text messages sent by McCloskey to underage boys.
Additionally, Castaldo stated that McCloskey told the Police that she had sent the image that led to her arrest to establish a connection with the boy without involving her daughter in a physical or sexual relationship.

Nicole McCloskey East Northport NY Teacher Faces 15 Years in Prison
According to charging documents filed by Suffolk Police investigators, McCloskey was taken into custody on March 14. BOCES officials confirmed that she had been dismissed from her teaching position since then.
Justice Karen Wilutis set her bail at a high sum of either $250,000 in cash or $500,000 in bond the day after she was detained.
School spokesperson Nancy Fischetti informed Newsday that Western Suffolk BOCES promptly reassigned the team member and prohibited her from having any contact with BOCES students or accessing the school’s premises after being notified of her arrest.
Fischetti further iterated their willingness to collaborate with the authorities throughout the investigation.

Castaldo advocated for a strict bail condition, claiming that if McCloskey is convicted of all 21 counts of the main charge, she could face consecutive prison sentences.
According to statements made by prosecutors, the gravest crime of possessing child pornography carries a potential punishment of imprisonment for 3 to 15 years.
