Michael Natsu Mug Shot has been trending on social media as he was sentenced to 18 months in prison for child exploitation and other charges.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, a former Bridgeport zoning official has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for child exploitation.
According to The Connecticut Post, he resigned from the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals three months after being charged with federal child exploitation. Natsu has been a member of the board since May 2020.

Michael Nastu, 62, was arrested on a federal criminal complaint charging him with multiple child exploitation offenses on June 30, 2021.
Natsu, 62, was charged on June 30 with attempting to transfer obscene materials to a minor, receiving child pornography, and enticing a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. The Connecticut Post reports that he was released on a $100,000 bond.

According to prosecutors, in March, Nastu began a chat with an FBI undercover team member posing as a 14-year-old female from Connecticut on the Kik social media app.

Nastu sent the FBI team member sexually explicit messages, pictures, and videos of male genitalia between March 31 and June 25. According to prosecutors, he attempted to entice the FBI team member to send him child pornography in exchange.
Nastu and the covert FBI agent exchanged texts about meeting in person to engage in sexual activity. Still, Nastu ultimately decided not to meet due to the risk of being caught.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New Haven Division made the arrest, and United States Attorney filed the charges against Nastu for the District of Connecticut, Leonard C Boyle.

Nastu’s charge stems from a conversation on Kik, a social media app, with an undercover FBI agent posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Nastu started the chat, and between March 31 and June 25, 2021, Nastu sent the covert team member sexually explicit messages and several pictures and videos of male genitalia, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

Nastu was taken into custody on June 30, 2021. According to News12, Nastu, an Easton school food service team member, was fired following his arrest.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Nastu and the FBI team member exchanged messages about meeting in person to engage in sexual activity. Prosecutors, however, claimed Nastu chose not to “due to the risk of being caught.”
According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, he pleaded guilty to the attempted transfer of obscene materials to a minor on September 22, 2022.
Nastu resigned as an appointed member of the Bridgeport Zoning Board of Appeals on September 29, 2021, after serving since May 2020.
According to a news release, Michael Nastu, 63, is free on a $100,000 bond and must report to prison on March 13, according to U.S. Attorney Vanessa Roberts Avery.
Nastu was sentenced in federal court in Hartford on Wednesday by Judge Omar A. Williams. According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Nastu will serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence.
