Christian Schimelfenig Obituary has been trending on social media as he was among the victim killed in a Philadelphia on the Schuylkill Expressway.
Authorities have identified the four victims killed in an early Saturday morning collision near Philadelphia on the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76). At the scene, authorities learned that one vehicle had veered across multiple lanes of traffic and collided with another.
Jan Carlo Santana, 31, of Philadelphia, Tucker Schimelfenig, 23, Christian Schimelfenig, 23, and Michael Comerford, 24, all of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, were killed in the crash, according to troopers.

Christian Schimelfenig, a victim of a deadly vehicle disaster on Philadelphia’s Schuylkill Expressway (I-76), died tragically on a day when multiple accidents happened on Pennsylvania roadways.
On Saturday, April 15th, 2023, Schimelfenig’s automobile was struck by another car in the westbound lanes of I-76, causing his car to topple and eventually killing him.
Tucker and Christian Schimelfenig, twins, and Michael Comerford, longtime friends, died Saturday doing the right thing.

Following a night out at Philadelphia’s renowned McGillin’s Olde Ale House, the three Clarks Summit residents requested an Uber transport home.

His wife, Carolyn Schimelpfenig, of Euless, his daughter and son-in-law, Roxann and Russell Zornick of Vancouver, Washington; his stepson, James Stevenson of Hurst; his grandchildren, Brian and Heather Stevenson; his sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Floyd Gustafson; and a large number of nieces and nephews are all still alive.
An Uber driver, Jean Santana, picked them up and drove them onto the westbound Schuylkill Expressway, the infamously deadly roadway running into and out of the state’s largest city.
Santana’s car was struck from behind by another driven by Victor A. Spizzirri, who had veered across lanes of roadway, according to State Police. The Uber ricocheted and collided with a bridge pila.
Spirrizzi, 31, was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to Police. He showed evidence of impairment and was detained for homicide by a car while intoxicated and associated offenses, according to Police.

Victor A. Spizzirri, 31, was detained on suspicion of homicide by vehicle while operating under the influence and other counts after his automobile collided with another vehicle near the northbound exit to Route 1 at about 1:44 am, according to Police.
Spizzirri’s car had crossed several lanes and impacted the second vehicle from behind, according to Police, before spinning and overturning many times until coming to a halt on the right shoulder of the Route 1 northbound off-ramp.

According to authorities, the second car was thrown into a bridge pillar. Police have not published the identities of the four individuals in the second car. According to authorities, they were all declared dead on the spot. The Schimelfenigs, 23, Comerford, 24, and Santana, 31, died on the scene.
“They acted correctly. The worst thing is that. “They did the right thing,” Michael Greco, 22, an Abingtons transplant who lives in Philadelphia and knows them, said.
Spizzirri was transferred to Temple University Hospital with minor injuries and showed symptoms of intoxication before being detained, according to Police.
Schimelfenig was one of four persons killed in separate vehicle accidents that weekend in Pennsylvania.
Two persons were murdered in a multi-vehicle chain-reaction disaster on the Blue Route (Interstate 476) in Broomall, Delaware County, on Sunday, April 16th, 2023, and another person was killed in an accident on I-75 south at Edgewood Avenue.
